Jameson Cup 2005

2/10-2005

About 275 boats were registered for this years Jameson Cup, Sunday October 2, which was sailed in beautiful late summer weather, but in too light wind. Fortunately, all starts could be made according to schedule, but in the light wind it became necessary to shorten the legs. 4 BB10m's were registered and were placed in start no. 3, race 20, together with a Karavel. The wind direction was from West and the boats were first sent to a buoy north of Vedbæk close to the shore. Then the spinnaker could be set (wind was now in a more southern direction) and we sailed towards a buoy in the middle of Øresund. After rounding together with a lot of boats we sailed towards the north mark in Vedbæk Sejlklubs regatta course which we could reach without tacking. In fact, we could also here set the spinnaker when we approached the shore. Then we sailed on a close hauled course towards the eastern mark and finally to the finishing line downwind. Winner of race 20 was DEN-53, Sjus, (which had a lead from start to the finishing line) with DEN-42, Slipstik, second and DEN-5, Navigator, third.

Martin from Dothost has now been able to reestablish our forum page including the old input from our members! Then we can only hope that we can avoid stupid hacker attacks in the future.

Hacker attack on our Forum page!

15/9-2005

As several of you may have noticed, we have had an attach from hackers on our Forum page. Together with our webhotel, Dothost, we try as quickly as possible to remedy the situation. Unfortunately, we will need to install new software which is better protected against hackere compared to the present. It is very sad that som brain damaged idiots do not have other things to do than making life difficult for decent people!
